This ATAR Calculator estimates a Victorian VCE aggregate and indicative ATAR from VTAC scaled study scores. Enter the highest eligible English-group scaled score and up to five other permissible scaled scores. The calculator adds the English score, the next best three scores, and 10% increments from the fifth and sixth scores.

How to use the VCE ATAR Calculator

  1. Enter your highest eligible English-group VTAC scaled score.
  2. Enter up to five other permissible scaled study scores.
  3. Add a separate approved increment only when applicable.
  4. Press Estimate ATAR to calculate the aggregate and indicative rank.

How the Victorian aggregate is calculated

The primary four consists of the highest eligible English-group scaled score and the next three highest permissible scaled scores. Up to two further permissible studies usually contribute 10% each. The resulting aggregate is converted to an ATAR using the official yearly cohort table.

ATAR Calculator FAQs

Should I enter raw or scaled study scores?

Enter VTAC scaled study scores. Raw study scores cannot be added directly because VTAC scaling changes subject contributions.

Is this my official ATAR?

No. It is an estimate using the 2025 Victorian aggregate table. Only VTAC can issue an official ATAR.

Does the calculator check subject restrictions?

No. You must confirm English eligibility, study-area grouping restrictions, equivalent-study rules, and special increments using official VTAC guidance.
