WAV export creates an uncompressed 16-bit PCM file at the decoded sample rate and channel count.
Start with a small boost and listen at a safe device volume. Automatic peak control is always applied, but a large boost can still make existing noise or distortion more noticeable. This utility is not a medical hearing tool and cannot restore detail that is missing from the recording.
Audio Volume Increaser — Make Audio Louder Online
Increase audio volume online without uploading your recording to a conversion service. This audio booster analyzes the source peak, lets you choose a decibel increase and previews the result in your browser. The selected boost raises quiet voice sections, while automatic dynamic control limits the strongest peaks. Download the finished audio as uncompressed WAV or a smaller MP3 file.
How to increase audio volume
- Choose an audio file stored on your phone or computer.
- Select a +3 dB, +6 dB or +12 dB preset, or move the volume slider.
- Listen to the boosted preview and check the effective gain.
- Choose MP3 or WAV, then export and save the louder file.
Clean volume boost with dynamic voice limiting
Digital audio has a maximum level. The selected boost raises quiet and normal voice sections, while an always-on dynamic limiter controls only the peaks approaching the maximum. This allows settings above +6 dB to make quiet speech louder without hard-clipping the strongest parts.
Increase MP3 volume and choose an output
You can open MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and other formats that your browser can decode. Choose WAV for an uncompressed result or MP3 for a smaller file with selectable 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps quality. Multichannel sources are mixed to stereo for MP3, while WAV keeps the decoded channel count. Format support varies by browser and device.
Auto boost quiet voice safely
Auto voice boost selects a useful starting increase from the analyzed source peak, up to the smooth +12 dB limit. Gentle attack and release timing controls strong peaks without abrupt gain changes. This does not guarantee equal perceived loudness between recordings, repair microphone noise or restore damaged audio. Always listen before downloading.
Online Audio Booster Questions
Does my audio file leave my device?
No. File reading, level analysis, boosted preview and output creation happen inside this page. The tool makes no upload request for your audio and does not store the recording. When MP3 is selected, a small encoding component is loaded from a content delivery network, but your audio remains in the browser. Your Blogger host still serves the page itself in the normal way.
How much louder are +3 dB, +6 dB and +12 dB?
Decibels describe a ratio. Approximately +3 dB multiplies sample amplitude by 1.41, +6 dB by 2.00 and +12 dB by 3.98. Perceived loudness does not rise by the same numeric ratio, and the available clean increase depends on the source peaks.
What happens when I select more than +6 dB?
The full selected gain is applied before the dynamic limiter. Quiet sections receive the increase, while loud peaks are reduced smoothly as they approach the safe output ceiling. The limiter is always active for preview, MP3 and WAV export and cannot be switched off.
Can this audio volume increaser download MP3 or WAV?
Yes. WAV is uncompressed 16-bit PCM and preserves the decoded channel count. MP3 is smaller and offers four bitrate choices; sources with more than two channels are mixed to stereo. MP3 is lossy, so repeated conversion can reduce quality. The original file is never overwritten.
Why will my audio format not open?
Decoding support depends on the browser, operating system and audio codec. A filename extension alone does not guarantee support. Try a current browser or convert the source to standard WAV or MP3 with trusted software, then load the new file here.
What are the file and length limits?
The compressed input must be 100 MiB or smaller. The decoded audio must fit within a 256 MiB memory estimate, the exported WAV must be no larger than 200 MiB and duration is limited to 20 minutes. These limits reduce browser freezes, but older phones can still run out of memory with long files.
Will boosting improve poor recording quality?
It increases signal amplitude, including background hiss, hum and existing distortion. It does not restore clipped peaks, remove noise or recover missing frequencies. For damaged recordings, use a dedicated audio editor with restoration and compression controls.
