Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between SGPA and CGPA? +
SGPA (Semester GPA) evaluates your performance in a single specific semester, whereas CGPA (Cumulative GPA) is the cumulative weighted average of all semesters completed so far throughout your degree.
How do I convert my SGPA into Percentage? +
Under the standard AICTE / UGC formula: Percentage (%) = (SGPA − 0.75) × 10. For instance, an SGPA of 8.50 converts to (8.50 − 0.75) × 10 = 77.5%. In universities following direct scale, it is simply SGPA × 10 = 85.0%.
What happens if I get an F grade in one subject? +
An F grade carries 0 grade points, but the course's credits are still included in the total denominator credit sum. This significantly pulls down your semester SGPA until the backlog/arrear is cleared in a supplementary exam.
